Wow! I loved this book. It is amazing how Carl Hiassen blends conservation with an exciting children's story.

The Phantom Tollbooth, by Norton Juster
"There was once a boy named Milo who didn't know what to do with himself—not just sometimes, but always."
These are the opening lines of The Phantom Tollbooth, a book that I am convinced is a must-read.
One day, after school, Milo comes home and discovers that he has been sent a package containing a strange tollbooth. When he drives through it using his electric car, he finds himself in the Lands Beyond, a strange world where ideas become personified. Follow Milo with his new friends, Tock and the Humbug, through Dictionopolis, Point of View, Valley of Sound, Digitopolis, and the Mountains of Ignorance, on a quest to bring back Rhyme and Reason, and to restore the Kingdom of Wisdom.
This is such an amazing and powerful book, I could hardly put it down. I was enthralled with the rich characters, and the way Juster puts into words the incredible story of Milo and his friends. You cannot go without reading this book!
